I have been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-20 oil since I got the car in 2015 since it was Dexos -1 certified. I no longer see the Dexos-1 license on the bottles of this oil and Mobil 1's website no longer shows 5w-20 as certified Dexos-1 though 0w-20 and 5w-30 remain certified. Why Mobil1 high mileage oils are not dexos certified? mahanddeem Nov 10, 2020 M mahanddeem Joined Oct 27, 2018 Messages 700 Location MD Nov 10, 2020 #1 I noticed M1 5w30 HM and M1 5w30 EP HM do not have the dexos stamp on them. Educate me to why is that please. Thanks Bryanccfshr Joined Oct 9, 2004 Messages 6,593 Location New Braunfels Nov 10, 2020 What are all of the Dexos1 High Mileage oils and which do you think is best? Valvoline Maxlife (both full synthetic and blend) and Castrol Edge High Mileage (full synthetic) are Dexos1 approved. Maxlife seems to be universally agreed to be a good product capable of stipping/reducing leaks. The Edge HM is new, does anybody have experience with it? #2 · Feb 28, 2018 UtahTransplant said: Just bought my first SSR, sell grinning! Local Chevy dealer uses Dexos and says it's good oil for my 2005. Reading the product data sheet Mobil 1 5w-20 Extended Performance is Dexos1 approved. O.k. I'm ready to change the oil, the cruze is got 2000 km ( 1600 miles ). I know it's pre-mature, but I always remove factory oil within 2000 km, and go with the OLM after that, using synthetic oil. The problem I'm facing is, I can't find new stock of mobil1 with the dexos approved label on. I Mobil 1 IS Dexos1 approved. Look at the label. I have indicated it with red in the picture below. To maintain your warranty without any questions or hassles, you MUST use a Dexos1-approved 5W30 oil (other than while on the track and switching to 15W50 oil). 3Ivwg.
